Sometimes people ask me if there’s much difference between a DIY Will, an online Will or a professionally drawn up Will.

There certainly should be!

The issue with a Will, is that often any problems only come to light after a person has died, and that’s the time when things can’t easily be put right.

Getting your Will drawn up by a specialist professional is something that a lot of people have to budget for. Some of my clients make use of our relaxed payment policy.

For the sake of your own sanity and meaningful peace of mind, please investigate the cost of having proper Wills drawn up. There are a few areas that many clients need to chat through in some detail, whether that’s the guardian provisions, or the ultimate “wipe out” clause which will apply if your first choice beneficiaries are all wiped out.

Don’t be afraid to interview the lawyers you have in mind to deal with your Will. If you don’t click, they’re not the right person for you.
